Product description

The &Tradition Thorvald Side Table SC102, part of the Thorvald Collection, celebrates outdoor living with sculpted silhouettes and an interplay of light and shadow. It’s a modern take on the lyrical lines of Denmark’s most esteemed neoclassical artist, Bertel Thorvaldsen and the mesmerising motifs of his eponymous museum. Solid steel sets the scene for an elegant, versatile series with a side table that can also double as a stool. Inspired by Copenhagen’s vibrant atmosphere, Thorvald is a welcome escape from the everyday indoors - wherever in the world you may find yourself.

The studio operates across various disciplines, including interior design for private homes, hotels, and restaurants, as well as art installations, art direction, furniture, lighting, and refined objects. Their approach, termed "Poetic Modernism," seeks to balance opposites—classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal—resulting in designs that are both functional and emotionally resonant. Notable projects include interiors for renowned restaurants like Noma and Geranium in Copenhagen, and hotel designs such as 11 Howard in New York and The Stratford in London. They have also collaborated with leading manufacturers like GUBI, Fredericia Furniture, &Tradition, and Stellar Works to create acclaimed furniture and lighting pieces
